SMEs given the opportunity for a Match-Funded Grant up to £9k
The Department for International Trade has launched additional funds as part of their Internationalisation fund in Greater Manchester. This is a match-funded grant for SMEs looking for grow their export sales. The fund is between £1,000 and £9,000. Companies from Greater Manchester and throughout England can apply but are subject to eligibility and availability. Companies outside Greater Manchester are encouraged to contact their local DIT teams.
Now more than ever, companies need support and help to expand their strategy and growth in the international market. If you are SMEs and based in England, you may be eligible. To secure the grant- your Business will have to fund a proportion of the costs which could be 40% or 50% of the total cost and will depend on where you are based and the application.
Can any company apply?
Please check the eligibility criteria:
The company must be based in Greater Manchester
The company must be a small or medium sized enterprise (SME) with up to 250 employees
Annual turnover does not exceed €50 million or annual balance sheet does not exceed €43 million
No more than 25% of the business is owned by an enterprise which is not a SME
Eligible areas included but not limited to:
Consultancy and other international commercial services
Market Research, routes to market and market development (including visits)
Consultancy on market /product regulations and standards - From customs processes, documentation, rules of origin, to IPR and more
Translation / Cultural Advice
Participation in trade shows where there is no TAP funding available
Overseas Business Environment / Due Diligence
